Grouse Lodge

Grouse Lodge is a new and exciting addition to weddings at Ballybeg House. First built in the mid 19th century, Grouse Lodge is located high up on the slopes of Ballybeg and Ballycumber hills, surrounded by trees and mature gorse and heathers.

This open terrain presents us with not only outstanding vistas as far as the eye can see but is also an ideal natural environment for the now almost extinct species of birds called grouse. Completely restored and refurbished using only the natural shale stone from the original quarry and timber from the local area, every effort has been made to preserve the original character of the house.

Under the delicate and sensitive eye of Dominique Schefman, Grouse Lodge has been transformed into a very unique and "Romantic Hideaway" for wedding couples. The immediate reaction of all who come to Grouse Lodge is "wow !" and you will have to arrange a visit to Ballybeg and Grouse Lodge to really appreciate this very special place.
