Grouse Lodge
Seeing is believing and you must see Grouse Lodge to truly appreciate its uniqueness. This lavish lodge is the ultimate secluded getaway for every couple. Set on the Ballybeg estate, a twenty minute walk over the hill, or ten minute drive, Grouse Lodge is a marvelous place to relax in before and after the big day. Particularly loved by Brides as the idyllic location for wedding preparations, Grouse Lodge can be used by the couple or their guests and is a treat for all.
The Marquee
The marquee accommodates wedding parties ranging from 40 to 160 guests. The interior of the marquee has a distinct victorian style and was designed and decorated by Dominique Schefman, who was also the interior designer for the refurbished Ballybeg House. The interiors of both the marquee and the house marry very well with each other.
Symes Room
The Symes Room will be completely finished and ready for use by the end of September 2012. It will in itself, be a unique, intimate and very special place to exchange your wedding vows. The Symes Room will transcend you into a medieval era and will add to the already enviable choice of locations at Ballybeg for your wedding ceremony.
The house, grounds, marquee, and outdoor hot-tub will all be exclusively yours for at least three days.
Everything is possible...
And can be arranged by you or by our very own house maitre dei team, Pairs and Peaches, lead by Dominique Schefman and Teresa Corkish. We do not have a wedding package - every wedding at Ballybeg is unique. We make your day as stress free as possible and offer excellent advice on money saving matters. Feel free to contact either Dominique: +353 (0) 87 684 8470 or Teresa: +353 (0)86 0222 694 to find out more about their services, click here.
Food and Drink
When it comes to food, the choice is yours; from a tasty buffet to a ten-course dinner. If you require any special catering services, like a champagne breakfast or casual BBQ, it's all possible. Cooking at Ballybeg is in the capable hands of our very special tried and proven pool of caterers from which you can choose.
We can organise the champagne, wines and other drinks for you, or if you prefer bring them along yourselves prior to your wedding. Ballybeg has no corkage charge. While Ballybeg is primarily a self-catering house, all cleaning etc. will be done for you after the wedding.
The grounds around Ballybeg House present numerous opportunities for your very own special wedding blessing. We can organise a celebrant who will discuss your ceremony wishes with you prior to your wedding day. In September 2012, we hope to have a new addition of a special indoor blessing room, at Ballybeg, called 'Symes', developed in part of the old existing courtyard.
